David CoxonPresident/CEODavid R. Coxon has more than thirty five years in banking. He started as a teller with Columbus Bank & Trust, Columbus, Ga. and most recently was President & CEO of State Bank of Georgia, Fayetteville, Ga. He has a wide range of experiences throughout his banking career serving in a number of capacities for both large and small institutions. David believes community banking remains a “people business” where you are able to serve people in a partnership of financial services meeting financial needs. He currently serves as the national Chairman of The Risk Management Association, a professional organization of over 3000 financial institutions and 16,000 individuals members dedicated to enhancement of best practices in risk management. He also serves as an instructor for banking schools on various credit and loan related topics. David has a BBA degree in accounting and finance from Columbus State University and a master’s degree in management from Mercer University. |
