Gene StricklandPresident & Area Manager,Anderson Columbia Co. Inc. Mr. Strickland grew up in Wakulla County, Florida as part of the fifth generation of his family in that area. He graduated from Wakulla High School in 1980 and received a B.S. in Economics from Florida State University in 1991. Gene has lived in Jackson County since 1998. He began working in the highway/heavy construction industry out of high school. He has served as Vice-President of two companies which include his current position with Anderson Columbia Company, Inc. Prior to his current position, Mr. Strickland was employed with Mitchell Brothers, Inc. where he was Vice-President in charge of operations and project management. He has served on numerous boards since 1986 including Associated Builders and Contractors where he served as President in 1993, Anderson Columbia Company Inc., A Materials Group, Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and Jackson Hospital where he served four years of his term as Chairman. |
